Read the requirements and fill out the form below to apply. 

  • All Applicants must be 25 yrs of age or older
  • All Applicants will need to upload a certified copy of their Driving Record from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (Cost: $10) and 4 copies of their valid Ohio Drivers License
  • Obtain a Hack License from the City of Cleveland (Requirements listed below)

Please be aware that the process for obtaining a Hack License from the City of Cleveland can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 30 days (This is an annual license that expires on Nov. 30th).

Requirements For Obtaining A Hack License

  1. A copy of a current and valid State of Ohio issued driver’s license
  2. A medical certification and drug test preformed within 30 days prior to application
  3. A State of Ohio BCI background check
  4. Applicant must pass the Taxicab Geography Exam
  5. A completed and signed application – Submitted by a Taxicab Company (AmeriCab)
  6. Non-refundable $60 application processing fee

*Some of the transportation that we provide also requires that AmeriCab obtain a FBI Background check in addition to the BCI required for obtaining a Hack License for drivers that perform those services.

Additional paperwork for vehicle leasing and contracts will be required once AmeriCab receives the driver’s hack license from the City. Information will be provided by AmeriCab’s driver liaison if initial requirements are met.
